The Gift of Healthy Skin

Is there anything that lifts your spirit more than skin care products? Okay, free skin care products? How about free skin care products that are all natural, organic and fantastic? For us, it is in the giving of the gift of healthy skin!

We recently had a request from a local Girl Scout troop for a product donation. Apparently the girls were sewing drawstring bags together and were donating them to Children's Mercy Hospital and wanted to fill them with goodies for the teenage girls there. Of course, we jumped at the chance. We were so excited picking out the goodies we could hardly stand it. We often get requests for samples from teens and mothers of teens with health issues. We love the opportunity to introduce them to effective products free of harmful chemicals.

In addition to giving away the free products, we were asked to speak to the Girl Scouts and their moms about skin care at their monthly meeting. The scouts were ages 9 and 10, barely old enough to care about their complexions--but will be soon enough. I completely understand the statement, "youth is wasted on the young", as I listened to the girls' excitement over the prospect of being able to wear makeup soon. The idea of them covering up those fresh, dewy faces with loads of makeup is just a crime. How many of us would trade our hoards of makeup for the complexion of our youth?

There's just is no substitute for healthy skin.
